Grammy Award winner for the theme to Twin Peaks;
2011 Henry Mancini Lifetime Achievement Award winner

Jazz vibraphonist and composer Stefon Harris (BM ’95, Percussion / MM ’97, Jazz Vibraphone)
Martin E. Segal Award winner and Grammy nominee;
designated Best Mallet jazz player six times by the Jazz Journalist Association

Outstanding Young Alumni Award: 

Classical guitarist Pablo Villegas (PD ’04, PS ’06, AD ’07, Guitar)
Winner of El Ojo Crítico, Spain’s top classical music honor;
gave the world premiere of Rounds, John Williams's first composition for guitar

2015 recipients of the MSM Presidential Medal for
Distinguished Faculty Service Dona D. Vaughn and Ted Rosenthal (BM ’81 / MM '83).
