Evan Pappas is the Artistic Director of The Argyle Theatre in Babylon, LI. and has directed Guys and Dolls, Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Producers, The Full Monty, Miracle on 34th Street, Cabaret for The Argyle. Off-Broadway: A Letter to Harvey Milk, Liberty, Wonderful Town, DuBarry Was a Lady. Regionally: Sister Act, The Color Purple, and Kinky Boots (Arts Center of Coastal Carolina); Evita, West Side Story, Kiss Me Kate, The Barber of Seville, and The Daughter of the Regiment (Opera North); Lucky Stiff (Arizona Broadway Theatre); Murder for Two and My Way (Depot Theatre); Funny Girl and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (San Francisco’s Broadway By the Bay), The Mystery of Edwin Drood and The Drowsy Chaperone (Manhattan School of Music), etc. As an Actor; Evan has starred on Broadway in Parade, My Favorite Year, Putting It Together, A Chorus Line. Off-B’way: I Can Get It For You Wholesale (Outer Critics Nomination), Café Society Swing, The Immigrant, Pera Palas, etc. London West End: Merrily We Roll Along, Follies. Regional: Lucky Stiff (Helen Hayes Award), Pajama Game (Joseph Jefferson Nomination), and many plays and musicals at The Guthrie Theatre, Hartford Stage, The Cleveland Playhouse, The Olney Theatre, ACT SF, Goodspeed Opera House, etc. Tours: A Chorus Line, Dreamgirls Durante, Superstar, On Golden Pond, and has been seen and heard on over a hundred commercials and voice-overs.
